“Read4Fun” is a phonics programme specially developed exclusively by ABC Pathways School, a recognised authority in Cambridge English. This comprehensive course integrates three essential components: Phonics, Reading, and Writing, specifically designed for fast-learning students in Hong Kong.
"Read4Fun" is tailored for students from the second term of K1 to P2 which equips students with the skills needed to excel in dictation, reading, and writing within just a few years of training. This structured approach not only fosters proficiency but also nurtures a genuine passion for reading and writing.
COURSE FEATURES

Using the Synthetic Phonics teaching method, students are starting from the second term of the K1 stage who begin learning English Phonics – Letter Sounds, Blending, and Decoding.

At an early age, the student is already capable of reading stories and independently creating English articles, laying a solid foundation to cope with dictation and writing exercises after advancing to a higher grade, thus enhancing future English learning and application.
LEARNING OUTCOMES

Students progress from pronouncing sounds, spelling, constructing sentence to writing articles.

Learning blending and decoding to cultivate the ability to 'hear and blend, see and read.'

Ability to build writing skills, subsequently learning to write short sentences, training in paragraph construction, and independent writing.

Starting from the second semester of K1, upon completion of the course after 3 to 4 years, students will have a solid foundation in reading articles, forming words, and writing sentences, effectively preparing them for dictation and writing skills in higher grades.

Starting from K1 2nd semester and in 3-4 years’ time, students will have achieved the skills required to be able to read stories and write in full sentences - an achievement that will enable them to easily tackle basic writing and dictation in early primary school.
